HOCKEY: Wilmslow Ladies’ firsts continued their winning streak with a 3-1 win over Bowdon at the weekend.

Lara Knowles put Wilmslow in front early on with a strike from a penalty corner.

Bowdon responded by breaking through the Wilmslow defence to equalise leaving the score 1-1 at the break.

A determined Wilmslow side continued to attack the Bowdon circle in the second half.

Lily Harrison and Pippa Forsythe then linked up to produce a well worked second.

With 10 minutes to go Charlie Platts completed an excellent defensive performance, halting a Bowdon attack and releasing Knowles down the right wing to score with an unstoppable strike.
