Alderley United Under-14s finished their season with a fantastic win at the Reddish Vulcans Junior Champions League tournament.

On one of the hottest days of the year, the boys battled through the heat and eight gruelling qualifying rounds to meet hosts Reddish Vulcans in the semi-final.

The boys went on to win 2-1 after a tension-filled period of extra-time.

In the final United met Pegasus Juniors who had travelled from Hereford to compete in the tournament.

Alderley United played some good football in a tight and competitive match and were good value for their 2-0 victory with goals from Jamie Frost and Harry Richards.
