URMSTON Judo Club coach Steve Pullen MBE has received more recognition of his long and dedicated service to his sport with another top award.

He was presented with a framed certificate from judo star and police representative Matt Klempner as the Police National judo coach at the club’s base at the George Carnall Centre.

Steve said: "This is a great honour for me and I was delighted to receive it from my old friend Matt.

"My role involves going around the country to train policemen for judo competitions and I am glad to say that they have enjoyed considerable success over the years, hopefully as a result of the work I have put in with them."
