The Albert Club, West Didsbury, had a good week in the Pal Tech Levenshulme Snooker League with both teams winning.
The A side posted a seventh straight win with a 5-2 defeat of Rileys Chorlton A to stay well clear at the top of division one.
Their B team improved their chances of avoiding the drop with a 6-1 victory against Ladybarn.
In division two, leaders South West Manchester CC suffered their third loss of the campaign with a 5-2 reverse against Openshaw A.
Nevertheless, they maintain a healthy lead over their nearest rivals, including Gorton Cons B who won 5-2 at SMRBL.
The draw has been made for the two knockout competitions with Levenshulme C playing Gorton B in the Cup with the winners playing either Chorlton Cons or Openshaw A.
