A SPORTS forum will be held at Denton St Lawrence Cricket Club next month as part of the benefit year for Lancashire CCC's Gary Yates.

It takes place on Thursday, March 3 at the club, beginning at 7.30pm with special guests being Yates' Lancashire team-mate Dominic Cork and former Manchester City and England footballer Peter Barnes.

The evening will also be MC'd by the Advertiser's darts correspondent John Gwynne.

Tickets cost £12.50 each and include a hotpot supper. They are available from Steve Hampson on 07971 497778.

• THE club have also arranged a forthcoming 20/20 match featuring a local league XI against a Lancashire XI.
