Glossop North End boss Steve Young paid tribute to Droylsden after the Bloods ended their hopes of reaching the Manchester Premier Cup final.
Goals from Tony Gray and Shaun Whalley gave Droylsden a 2-0 win at the Butcher’s Arms on Monday night.
They now face either Trafford or Radcliffe Borough in the final at Bury’s Gigg Lane ground on Wednesday, April 21.
Young believes that whoever the Bloods play in the final will be in for a tough test if Droylsden replicate their play going forward.
He said: "I thought we did really well but we were undone by two top quality goals from distance; one in the top corner and the other in the bottom corner.
"Their movement, especially up front, was excellent and ultimately, that was where they won the game.
"Their extra quality proved to be the difference in the end but I have to say that our fitness was very good because I thought we might have tired towards the end.
"We had a couple of half-chances that we didn’t really take advantage of and they didn’t get a lot of joy in our penalty area but we came off with a lot of credit because they are a very good side."
