Lancaster City 0 Mossley 0: A SERIOUS neck injury sustained by Lancaster defender Andrew Teague late in the first half marred a game which both sides could have won but neither really deserved to.
Teague went up to defend a cross and was poleaxed by his own goalkeeper and did not get up.
The incident delayed the game by almost 25 minutes while an ambulance was brought into the ground.
Jackson missed an early chance while Danny Toronczak and Chris Hirst came close.
Lancaster keeper Thornley also had to leap backwards to claw away an effort which rebounded off Hirst and threatened to loop into the net.
Most of the opportunities were really only half-chances, but in the second half, Mossley stayed on level terms when James Mann’s point-blank save saw Jackson’s header pushed onto the woodwork before Nick Boothby headed off the line from Dodgson’s long-range looping effort.
A point each probably damaged Lancaster’s play-off hopes but kept Mossley away from the danger zone.
