CURZON Ashton boss Gary Lowe hailed his best night as a manager after watching his side reach round one of the FA Cup.
Having drawn 1-1 at Hinckley United on Saturday, Curzon drew their replay by the same score before holding their nerve to win 3-2 on penalties.
Victory means Curzon host Coca-Cola Football League opposition a week on Saturday when Exeter City travel to the Tameside Stadium.
Lowe said: "This has to be the highlight of my managerial career and one of the best nights of my life.
"What these lads have achieved is unbelievable."
It is the first time in the club’s 45-year history that Curzon have reached the first round proper of the FA Cup.
They now face an Exeter City side riding high in third place in League Two as the Advertiser went to press on Tuesday.
Paul Tisdale’s team – who have Spurs’ former FA Cup-winning captain Steve Perryman as their director of football – were promoted back to the Football League last season when they defeated Cambridge United 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley.
