Seddon departs

GARETH Seddon’s move away from Hyde United took place on Monday when the striker signed for Kettering Town.

Seddon, who netted 64 goals in two years at Ewen Fields, completed the switch for an undisclosed fee following the end of his proposed move to Northwich Victoria.

Football director Tony Beard said: "We knew Imraan (Ladak, Ketting chairman) and Poppies boss Mark Cooper were fans of Gareth and they had asked to be kept informed of the Northwich situation.

"When the deal again fell through at the weekend, we had no hesitation in contacting Kettering."
