Hyde FC boss Gary Lowe insists it is not time to panic despite seeing his side pick up just one win from their last six games.

The Tigers’ difficult start to 2012 continued at the weekend with a last minute defeat at Solihull Moors after the visitors had dominated throughout.

Ashton United returned to league action for the first time in three weeks and wasted no time in beating their out-of-form hosts.

After the hosts’ Ben Algar had found space on the edge of the area and saw his shot saved by Terry Smith, it took the visitors six minutes to move ahead.

Curzon collected another valuable three points by completing the double over Radcliffe at Stainton Park.

A generally difficult fixture saw Curzon completely dominate and, looking back, perhaps a little disappointed they didn’t take the chance to improve their goal difference.

Jim Harvey’s men haven’t won a league game since December 3 and their biggest home league defeat his tenure was a chilling sign of just how far they’ve slipped in the past couple of months.

Hyde somehow managed to lose this game despite controlling the game from start to finish.

The Tigers would have been disappointed with just a draw from this game, so to lose proved even harder to take.

Curzon kept up the pressure on leaders AFC Fylde witha fine victory in a game which survived the overnight heavy rain.

However, the accompanying strong winds played a big part in proceedings with the first yielding a few half-chances but nothing in the way of clear opportunities.

Curzon Ashton boss John Flanagan insists the Tameside Stadium outfit can still be crowned Evo-Stik North champions – despite having finally been knocked off the top by big-spending AFC Fylde.

The Nash have been out in front for most of the season but have recently been replaced at the summit by a Fylde side who have at last started to live up to their billing as title favourites by winning their last eight games.

The game was played in blustery conditions throughout, and despite Hyde having the lion’s share of possession, they couldn’t break down the visitors' rearguard.

The Bloods snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with a collapse only normally associated with the England batting order.

Clearly, the elements played a major part in this game, but a 3-0 half-time lead should have been sufficient to take something from West Yorkshire.

Stalybridge Celtic have been given a major boost with Jim Harvey tying himself to the Blue Square Bet North club for a further two-and-a-half years.

Harvey, widely regarded as one of the best managers outside the Football League, has penned a deal which will keep him at Bower Fold until at least the end of the 2013/14 season.

Hyde had Matty Berkeley to thank as they fought back to earn a point against a spirited Corby side which was depleted through injuries.

It was the league leaders who started the brighter and Reece Gray’s effort, with the outside of his foot, hit the post with Chris Mackenzie rooted to the spot and then the keeper just about did enough to hold onto the returning Ryan Crowther’s deflected effort.
