Van der sar: No great challenge but produced some erratic distribution 6

Brown: Had had a comfortable half before being forced off at the interval 5

Ferdinand: Sound enough return for the captain only Doyle asked him a few questions 6

Vidic: Solid until he was taken on by Guedioura once and then looked clumsy 6

Evra: Had one penetrative run that almost got him a goal and was spot on defensively 6

Valencia: Considering the quality of opposition defence, thought he might have more joy 6

Scholes: Bang on the nose did him no harm and it was a quality finish 6

Gibson: Had a few long range chances that were off beam but not much else 5

Carrick: Kept it nice and simple because outlet for anything else wasn't on 6

Nani: After his suspension he was unable to revive his pre-ban form 5

Berbatov: Thankless lone front man task but did well under circumstances 7

When I see this guy's name I know nothing but negativity is coming. You cannot expect a team with the injuries, suspensions and changes we had to be playing pretty football in March and April. What you can expect is results and we got one. Enough said. What you want is effective players and on that note just a couple things I noticed. Nani needs to find a way to be effective on the left. We all know he is better on the right but this is the run in and so he needs to make an impact where ever he plays. Having said that I don't think he was any worse than anybody else. The only other person that stood out to me is Gibson who I think does not understand what is required of a midfielder at United. Great result and an indifferent performance. I'll take the result everytime. We can worry about the producing pretty football and excitement in the summer.

berbatov and scholes played well. we all know berbatov isnt really suited to the lone striker role, but actually worked his arse off and tried to bring others into the game. just wish he would shoot more! scholes played well and should definately be given another season.

Only seen the MOTD "highlights" so can't really rate them, so i'll be philosophical instead...

A win at this point of the season is more valuable than the performance.

A nani on the left spoils the broth.

A gibson in the middle also spoils the broth.

My wife spoils the broth.

Berbatov was class. He was, by some degree, simply the best player on the pitch. If you didn't notice that, you should give up watching football and go away somewhere far away.

Ok, this is sooo not right. Park, little impact? were we watching the same match? I dont think so. Park changed the game once he came on. his tackling and movement was and is crucial to ManU. People keep talking about how he is a headless chicken but I'm sure those very same people were cheering when he helped neutralise the threat of messi when we played them in the semis two years a go. or when he popped up to seize on that mistake at the back against Arsenal in the CL semis last year or all the other times he has made a nuisance of himself to the other teams time and again. This is just ridiculous.
Vidic, 6? who was winning all the arieal balls coming in to the united area? Scholes, 6? who kept on trying to find the hapless valencia(who wasnt making any runs) and the out of position Nani and scored the winning goal? Someone else needs to be doing these ratings, seriously.

Diouf looked a disaster in front on goal. I remember that university student bluffing his way into Gordan Strachan's Southampton team....reminded me a little of him.

Berbatov, Scholes, Valencia, Park were are best player's by far.I now see that after ONE bad performance it's slagging off Diouf time! I wrote my bit about him on another article so i won't go through it all over again.All i will say is that when he come's good and score's more goals for us and you are raving about him i will look forward to seing you sucking on lemmon's.

Actually, I thought Doyle was the best player on the pitch as he was a constant threat. His performance confirms what I've said for a couple of years that, had we got hold of Doyle at an early age, he could have been a top player. Unfortunately, he's playing for a team with a poor coach and he won't develop until he gets to a team with reasonable coachs. Too late to join United now though.

Berbatov was good though.

Berba had a great game as the lone striker at Wolves. His touch, close control, hold-up play, and ability to bring others into the match were second to none.

Scholesy passed me the ball, that was Souness, not Strachan. Ali Dia was the name of the lad and his agent convinced Souness that he was speaking to George Weah and on 'George Weah's' recomendation he got a game.

Brown: Nothing much to do 5

Ferdinand: Not really troubled. 6

Vidic: Another wreckless challenge could have been more costly against better opposition, so far from the Vidic of old. 5

Evra: Good chance that he should done better with. 6

Valencia: When the shaky Wolves defence have him figured out (down the wing, drop the shoulder, right leg cross: See I don't even have FA Coaching Badges and I have supplied the "how to defend Antonio Valencia playbook") it doesn't bode well for the games we have coming up 4

Scholes: Goal was vintage Scholes, other than that he was poor. 6

Gibson: This guy doesn't even belong in the FC team. He can't even get a starting berth with Ireland and he has Keith Bloody Andrews and Glenn Bloody Whealan as competiton. He is NOT and never will be, United Material 0

Carrick: A disgraceful rating, particularly as it was his disastrous attempt at a clearance that nearly let them back in with THAT chance. Nothing going forward, caught in possession. Gutless! 3

Nani: Moved out to his unfavoured position to accomodate a guy who can only play in one position. It showed, as he was back to the Nani of old. And the Nani of old never played on the right 3

Berbatov: Held Up the Ball well but being a lone front man does not suit him. I felt for him at times as you could see his frustration with those around him. 6

Neville: (Brown 45) Not the Gaz of old 5

Diouf: (Gibson 61) WOEFUL finishing! 4

Park: (Nani 71) Did ok considering how limited he is 6

Park was the best player on the pitch for the 20 minutes or so he was on. We'll be needing him in the line-up for Milan. No way Park gets a 5 and Carrick a 6, more like 7 & 4 respectively. How Stuart Mathieson could neglect mentioning that dreadful Carrick giveaway at the death that Vokes should have put way is beyond me.

All these scores are low! Berbatov and Scholes had particularly good games, I'd say 8 each, others too had low scores, can't give low scores
just because we played a lowly team (who happened to play very well).
Berbatov worked his socks off and if that didn't shut up his doubters then
I don't what the lad has to do! (wear a Wayne R. mask maybe!)

Scholesey passed me the ball - while I agree it was a poor miss, being able to score the score a goal and scoring a goal are different things. I have seen clinical finishers miss sitters - it happens now and again. He is certainly able to finish goals like that - only a fool would suggest he isn't - the question is can he do it under the spotlight playing for United? The answer lies in how well he recovers but for sure he will be thinking about it. But one thing is for sure - it was the cross of the match!
