MATTHEW Hatton has refused to throw in the towel on his boxing career following his Commonwealth title loss to Craig Watson.
‘Magic’ had been quoted as saying he would pack the sport in if he was not fighting for titles this time next year.
However, having vowed that boxing had not seen the last of him, the younger Hatton remains steadfast in his opinion that it is titles or nothing.
He said: "If I wasn’t challenging for, or winning titles, then I’d stop. I wouldn’t be one of those fighters who carries on.
"There’ll be other opportunities in the next 12 months. I’ve been offered a couple of fights already and there’s always the English and British titles to go for.
"I still think there’s fights around for me. I won’t stop on that note."
- NEXT week, Hatton offers his analysis of the Watson fight.
