A car flipped onto its roof after skidding on ice in Denton.

The smash, outside the Arden Arms pub, brought rush-hour traffic to a standstill as police were forced to close Stockport Road at around 7.30am on Monday.

It is thought the driver of the car - a Peugot - lost control and overturned, colliding with a Toyota which was travelling on the other side of the road.

Both male drivers were treated by paramedics at the scene although their injuries were not thought to be serious.
