A GUN was fired during a late night car chase in Ashton.
Two cars, a black and a red Honda Civic, were racing each other on the wrong side of Wellington Road when they pulled up alongside each other at the traffic lights near Ikea.
A passenger in the black car fired a shot into the side of the other vehicle before speeding off.
No’one was injured in the incident which took place at around 12.25pm on Saturday, 12 January.
The red car was later found abandoned on Edge Lane and the black car, which was stolen, was seized by police on Warde Street, Hulme.
