Let's talk trees, woodland and wildflowers in Denton. Although those in the know will already be aware of the Tameside-managed Gibraltar Works nature reserve or Haughton Dale, for those who don’t you’ll be amazed to discover, like me, that within a mile or so of Crown Point, and a few hundred yards of the Haughton Green high-rise trio, there are kingfishers, sparrowhawks, green woodpeckers, and yes buzzards, to name but a few.
