Stockport's Liam Broady in Australian Open tennis triumph

Stockport tennis star Liam Broady has won his second major title.

The 18-year-old from Heaton Chapel teamed up with fellow Brit Joshua Ward-Hibbert to beat Adam Pavlasek of the Czech Republic and Croatia's Filip Verger 6-3 6-2 to take the junior boys doubles title at the Australian Open this morning.

The former Priestnall School pupil won the Wimbledon boys doubles title with Briton Tom Farquharson in 2010 and was beaten in the boys singles final last year.
