SHARKS' medical staff believe centre Mark Taylor could be back in action soon despite being stretchered off during Friday's match against Worcester.

Taylor was taken to hospital with a stinger injury, which affected his shoulder and neck.

Precautionary X-rays were taken but did not show any lasting damage.

Taylor, whose contract with Sharks expires at the end of the season, was due to visit a specialist yesterday [Tues] to get a further update on his condition.
