Free town centre parking will begin on Wednesday, November 11, to coincide with the big lights switch-on and will continue every Wednesday for seven weeks.

Other dates where cars can be left without cost are December 21-24 between 4pm and 8pm and, four consecutive Sundays starting November 29 and all day on Christmas Day, December 28 and New Year's Day.

The borough's district centres will also have free parking on November 28 as well as December 5, 12 and 19.
