A PENSIONER who went missing from her home in Hazel Grove has been found safe and well by an Offerton shopkeeper.

The husband of 73-year-old Patricia Smith raised the alarm after last seeing her at their home on Bramhall Moor Lane at around 11.45am on Thursday, March 27, when she told him she was going to visit friends.

She was found by the shopkeeper at around 7.30pm the following day on Turnstone Road, Offerton.

Police sergeant Richie Bell, from Stockport police, said at the time of the incident: "Patricia going missing is totally out of character. She has been away from her home overnight and her husband and other friends and family are understandably concerned, as are we."
