In this section, we're giving an opportunity for people who were parted when locals decided to make new lives overseas to make contact once again.
If you are an ex-pat, who wants to know the whereabouts of a pal or relative, send us the details and we'll post them up here. The same is true of locals - let us know if you want to get back in touch with a local who has left these shores. You never know - they might just visit this site, read your message and you could be reunited.
Alternatively, ex-pats can write to us simply if they want to let the folks back home know what they've been up to, how life overseas is treating them, and what they miss about Stockport.
All you have to do to take advantage of this service is to click here to go to our interactive map of the world , then click on the part of the map where you live. Your own pinpoint will appear which you can move to the exact location you want (use the controls on the top-right of the map to move around and to zoom in and out, right down to street level).

Currently residing in beautiful Lima, Peru's capital.

I would love to contact Roy (Tinker)Greenhalgh who was a schoolfriend during the war years. He lived in Melbourne St. (adjoing Reddish Baths and Library) but emigrated to Australia in the 1950's and if my information is correct became a pilot with the RAAF.He must now be in his mid seventies but I would be glad to hear from him. My grandma Elsie was sister to Edith Willis, there was also a brother called Arthur and sisters called Nellie,Winnie and Florrie.
Edith had we think 3 sons.

Came to Australia 40 years ago in 1965. Lived on Wellington Rd North, Heaton Chapel until 1962, then in Levenshulme. Attended Saint Thomas's Primary School, Belmont Secondary School, and Stockport Tech, leaving in 1959.
Worked at the Co-operative Wholesale Society's Confectionary Works in Reddish fromm 1966 and John Horn in Stockport.
