• THERE is a temporary prohibition of driving outside The Bulls Head public house on the southerly side of Stockport Marketplace. Work here is scheduled for completion on October 31.
• There is a temporary prohibition of driving for the full length of Ratcliffe Street, Central Stockport, to allow for the construction of a new building. Work scheduled for completion November 11.
• Temporary prohibtion of driving for the full length of the road to allow for the construction of a new building, Ratcliffe Street, Central Stockport. Work scheduled for completion November 8.
• Temporary one way from the easterly junction with Hyde Road for a distance of 60m - no access into southerly entrance of Mill Lane from Hyde Road, to allow for construction work on Woodley Health Centre. Alternative access available via westerly entrance to Mill Lane. Work scheduled for completion January 3 2009...
• 3 Way traffic Lights over 3 weekends in August (9/10th, 16th/17th, 23/24th) for Gas Main Renewal, Longford Rd West/Gorton Rd.
• Two Way Traffic Lights for Gas Main's renewal outside hill end, Greave, to No.39. From 4 – 25 August.
• Two way Traffic Lights between No's 35-85 Hall Street. From July 27 – Aug 16.
• Two Way Traffic Signals at the Junction of Hollymount Road, Lisburne Lane. Aug 4 – 17.
• Temporary 2 Way Traffic Lights between 09:30 - 15:30 for renewal of water main, Garners Lane/Rostrevor Road, Aug 12 & 13.
• Temporary Traffic Lights between Newby Road and Rutters Lane, Bramhall Moor Lane. From Aug 11 – 18.
• Stockport Council will be carrying out work on Springswood Bridge Culvert at the bottom of Compstall Brow, Offerton (by the entrance to Etherow Country Park) for two weeks, commencing Wednesday 13th August. The work has been scheduled during the school holidays, when there is less traffic on the roads, to minimise disruption. The work will require single lane closures, managed by temporary traffic lights, during the two weeks. The investigation work within the carriageway is being carried out in advance of strengthening Springswood Bridge Culvert in summer 2009.
• Temporary Signals for two weeks due to Gas Mains Renewal, School Brow/Peak Bank, Romiley. Work scheduled for completion on Aug 21.
• One Way from Grosvenor Road to Bankhall Road for Gas Main Renewal Alternative route via Bankhall Rd/Thornfield Rd/Balmoral Rd, Heaton Moor. Aug 18 – 25.
• Temporary Traffic Lights - Single Lane Closure for open trench excavation. Springwood Culvert/Compstall Road/Andrew Street. Work scheduled for completion Aug 24.
