Didsbury Toc H secured second spot in North Lancs One following a 36-15 victory at Garstang.
Missing two of their top try scorers due to illness Didsbury were caught napping in the early stages and found themselves 8-0 down but they then began to get their act together.
A converted try from James Southall and a penalty from Euan Wilder took them into the lead.
Mike Hyde crashed over for the second try before Dylan Williams added the third for a useful 22-8 interval lead.
The first score of the second half was a long awaited first try of the season from prop Jon Walker.
Although Garstang reduced the arrears with another score, Phil Cooper had the final word with the last try, again converted by the immaculate Wilder.
There is plenty of action yet to come for Toc with the Lancashire Plate final at Manchester RUFC and the play-off for promotion against either Millom or Egremont on May 8.
Also in action were Toc’s seconds, who beat Stockport 27-23 before losing 17-15 to New Brighton.
Toc’s fourths were beaten 49-22 by Marple and the thirds were crushed 87-7 by Broughton Park’s fourths.
Park’s thirds lost 33-27 at Glossop but beat Bowdon 24-17.
Burnage’s seconds completed a superb league campaign, winning their division by 16 points and a win against Widnes was followed by a 31-13 triumph over Marple.
Burnage’s thirds went down 68-10 against Ashton-on-Mersey and their fourths were beaten 34-12 by Village Spartans.
There was not much joy for Old Bedians’ seconds following their relegation as they suffered a 27-19 defeat against Altrincham Kersal.
