DARTS: SOUTH West Manchester Cricket Club continued their march to a first South Manchester Log-End League title with a 5-2 derby defeat of Lauriston Club.
Carlton Club had hopes of beating St Crispins when they won the first game, only for their opponents to post a 6-1 success.
Reigning champions Albert Withington saw their misery continue as they went down 4.5-2.5 against Green End, while Sun in September saw off Albert Park 5-2.
The slip-up winners were Carlton Club, Albert Park, South West and Albert Withington.
On the crib tables, the wingles were taken by St Crispins, South West, Albert Park and Albert Withington, while the pairs went to Carlton Club, Albert Park, Lauriston Club and Albert Withington.
TEIRAN McCorkell is competing in the Manchester Log-End Federation’s individual championship in Moston. He will be looking to emulate the performances of Dave Yates, who has reached the final, Neil Hunter and John Glover, both of whom made the last four.
