Maine Road will hope to return to action this Saturday at home to Stone Dominoes.
Most of last weekend’s North West Counties games fell victim to the weather, including Road’s away fixture against Silsden.
But Road are confident of Saturday’s game going ahead as their pitch is one of the best in the North West Counties Premier.
Manchester City invested in vast improvements to the playing surface this summer after Road agreed to let City’s academy side share their Brantingham Road ground.
Road manager Ian Walker is eager to play as his side have been in good form over the last six weeks.
A run of just one defeat in eight has seen them recover from a mixed start to the season and climb to 15th in the league table.
And a victory over Stone, who are three places below Road, could mean Walker’s men are in the top half at Christmas.
