Chorlton 18-year-old turns up safe at home after she went missing for 48 hours

A teenager who disappeared after a night out in Manchester has turned up safe at home.

Adelle Gallen, 18, from Chorlton, was out with a friend when she went missing early on Tuesday.

The alarm was raised when she failed to turn up for work at a telesales firm in Sale yesterday morning. She had never gone missing before.

Detectives said she had been out with a friend on Monday night and tried to get a taxi back to Chorlton from near the Palace Theatre on Oxford Road at 4am on Tuesday.

But Adelle became separated from her friend. She was due at work at 11am on Wednesday, but failed to turn up, leaving her family 'fraught' with worry.

Adelle's parents were due to make a public appeal for information at 11 am today but minutes before they were to go before the cameras, Adelle turned up safe at home.
