A town hall worker has been sacked after he was caught with child and animal pornography.
Nathan Porter’s perversions were uncovered when a flatmate logged on to his home computer to find he had tried to arrange a webcam viewing of a child engaged in sex acts.
His friend was so alarmed by what he saw he immediately called the police.
When detectives searched Porter’s Salford home they found seven DVDs of women having sex with animals.
Further analysis of the 32-year-old’s computer discovered he had downloaded two pornographic pictures of girls aged around 10.
Porter was suspended from his job in the strategic regeneration unit at Salford council following his arrest and charge.
He has now been dismissed due to a ‘lack of trust’, the council confirmed last night.
Porter, of Jones Street, Langworthy, walked free from court after pleading guilty to seven counts of possessing extreme pornography. He asked for a further 38 to be taken into consideration.
He also admitted attempting to incite a child to take part in a sexual act and making an indecent image of a child.
Supervision
Judge Jeffrey Lewis, sentencing at Minshull Street Crown Court, told him the offences were so serious that there would have been no alternative to prison.
But because Porter had already spent seven months in jail on remand, having refused to apply for bail, the judge handed him a community order with strict supervision requirements for three years.
“There is nothing I can say to you that you have not thought of yourself,” Judge Lewis added.
The court was told Porter was arrested in August last year.
An examination of his computer revealed an online dialogue in which he discussed paying £50 to watch sexual activity involving a child.
Alaric Bassano, prosecuting, said part of the conversation involved Porter saying: recovered read: “Have you got young bum? Hope you can get it for me “Eleven to 12 would be good.”
John Marsh, defending, said the offences involving children, though serious, did not involve any attempt to indulge in physical contact and had been an act of voyeurism.
He added Porter had pleaded guilty to all the charges at an early stage and had previously been a man of good character.
Mr Marsh said: “He has been a hard working, respectable and productive member of society.
“He has been totally up front about what he has done, and told his family all about it. There have been tears, but they stand by him, and have not pushed him away.”Porter, who previously worked as a market support officer for Salford council's Landlord Accreditation Team, has also been ordered to work with a sex offenders' group.
A Salford council spokesman said: “Following an internal investigation an employee was suspended in connection with this incident and has subsequently been sacked due to a lack of trust.”

Why dont the council tell us how it is. We sacked him because he is a sick individual who needs professional help.

What a wierdo! This is disgusting,
Although in no way do I condone paedophilia, it was only about fifty or sixty years ago when both women who gave birth to a chid outside of marriage and homosexuals were considered by society as being wierdos and disgusting and were locked away in psychiatric (commonly called mental in those days) hospitals because of their perversions.
I wonder how long it will be before paedophilia will be seen as being normal behaviour by society in the same way that having a child outside of wedlock and homosexuality is now.

the day society accepts that it is normal for an adult to want sex with a child will be a very very sad day indeed. hopefully i will not be around to witness it.

Leave children to have their freedom to grow up in a real children's world with a carefree happiness otherwise we are finished. Parents need to get a grip and not introduce kids to wrongs, ban crazy arcade games, and stop them watching grown up telly.
When kids want to go round wanting to chop other kids up or want to shoot them then there is something wrong. Kids talk filth these days and its the parents that need to grow some morals.

Used to be normal in the Roman Empire - a society where indulging your pleasures was seen as normal. Ring any bells? Legal or not, when sex is generally promoted as a commodity and hobby rather than generally for procreation, you inevitably open the door to this kind of behaviour, underground or otherwise.

Stevedore, Quayside has a point. In the true scheme of things its not so long ago that homosexuality was an offence of Gross Indecency and even worse if involving a male under 21 years of age. Same applied for a person under 18 to have sexual intercourse. Many drugs were illegal but have now been down graded.
In this country when they find they can’t control it they just legalise it so although I find the prospect totally abhorrent, I also think it is only a matter of time.

Idiot, read my comment again and if you really cannot understand what I have said try getting someone to explain it to you which could possibly be your mum or dad.

However like any society we are still plagued with sicko's, thats why we have social services, the police and great charities like the NSPCC.

It will never be normal mate to engage in adult/child sex, that is unless your (not you personally) one of the thousands of 'men' who frequently head to Thailand, Phillipines and other countries where sex with minors, though illegal, is treated by scores of Brits as some form of normal recreation.

I wouldn't class the NSPCC as a great charity, more a fake charity. It receives huge amounts of taxpayers money to be a mouthpiece for the government. I certainly wouldn't give them my money. I reserve my support for proper charities like the RNLI.

Hopefully it will never be normal behaviour in the UK but many countries in the world do accept it as being normal. Even within the EU, the age of sexual consent is set at different levels with the UK having the highest (16) after Malta (18) with some countries including the Vatican City being as low as 13.
