A DECISION on the Port Salford development - one of the biggest inland ports in Europe - has been deferred by town hall bosses.
Salford City Council's planning panel were due to make a decision on the development by Peel Investments (North) Ltd on Thursday, April 16.
However they decided to defer the decision to another planning meeting, the date is yet to be confirmed.
Port Salford would provide a distribution park served by rail, road and short sea shipping.
It would be 116 hectares in size and situated at Barton on the north bank of the Manchester Ship Canal.
