Two men stabbed and Staffordshire bull terrier shot in raid on Salford homes

A 45-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being repeatedly knifed when the gang of four or five men broke into his home on Haddon Street, Lower Broughton, at around 8.20pm last night.

The man's Staffordshire Bull Terrier has undergone emergency surgery to remove a bullet from its body, but is expected to survive.

Passengers cowered in terror as yobs aged as young as 13 pelted a stranded bus with snowballs and a brick. A gang of between ten and 15 hooded youths surrounded the packed bus after it pulled into a stop in Salford.
