I love the photos. Could you post more, maybe some old ones. Even some of the not so pretty sights of Salford would be great.

For a detailed, maintained photographic timeline of the Media City : UK (MC:UK) Salford Quays development site, do a search on 'media city uk salford quays q3' in Google. Actual visible development started in June and the sixth full sized crane went up today. Judging by the pace of the development and the fact that aspects of the first building (9-10 storeys) are already in place, the pace of construction is quite impressive to complete by 2010/11.

It`s the Lowry Centre, not the Lowry Hotel!

I would dearly love to see any photos of St Ambrose School and church that was on Liverpool St, also any photos of Vere St around the dock gates. If amyone has any school photographs taken at St Ambrose I would dearly love to see

What a fantastic image of the Pendlebury skyline - Usually, silhouettes are associated with beach sunsets but I love the way the photographer has used underexposure to create the textures and tones - it reminds me of my last visit to Salford when I had the pleasure of dining at The Windmill in Swinton, eating half rice half chips and watching the sun set behind Victoria Park.

Great use of lighting and tone by the photographer! Takes me back to my last visit to Salford, on the terrace of The Windmill on Bolton Road with a pint of Chateau Lafite and half rice half chips watching the sun set over Victoria Park

Try http://www.oldsalford.co.uk/ I don't think there are any photos of St Ambrose but there are a couple of the dock gates.

These are stunning photos. Are they all taken by amateurs? Excellant standard. Please carry on publishing them. I do prefer seeing the ones taken in Salford!

A nice picture of Salteye Brook, this will be the only way you will be able to see it in the future as Salford Council and Peel Holdings are about to concrete over it to provide retail outlets and a sports stadium.

Wise redevelopment !
