A former supervisor at Smith and Nephews, Mrs O’Regan also worked as a part-time cook at Cloughfold School.
She then worked as a cleaner and later, due to her husband’s heart attacks, was a full-time mother and housewife.
She was an active member of the Labour Party and in her younger years used to breed dogs, winning numerous awards.
She enjoyed woodwork and gardening and watching her granddaughter Emma dance and grandson James cycle.
Wife to the late Paddy, mother to Michael and Kathryne, she leaves son-in-law Mark, grandchildren Emma and James, brothers Kenneth and Bobby, sister Helen as well as her nephews and nieces.
The funeral was held on Monday, January 23, at the Chapel of Rest, with interment at Rawtenstall Cemetery.
