Grandfather Mr Clifford Charles Wilmot, of Joe Connolly Way, Waterfoot, died on Wednesday, January 25, aged 61.

Mr Wilmot was a Kingsman, serving in the King’s Regiment, Liverpool and a butcher before he retired due to ill-health.

His interests included socialising, going around the pubs, reading, model railways, the Second World War and computers.

He leaves his wife Janet, daughter Leslieann, grandson Nicholas, brothers Martin and Stuart, sisters Leslie and Jackie, eight brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, 14 nephews, 10 nieces, two great-nieces and a great-nephew.

His funeral is on Friday, February 3 when the Rev Stephen Brook will conduct a service at Knight and Boys Funeral Home at 10.45am followed by committal at Burnley Crematorium at noon.
