KEEN gardner all his life Mr Richard Barlow of Highfield Road, Edenfield, died at home on January 21 aged 75.

He served his national service in the RAF and was based in Germany. He then trained as a mechanic at a garage in Haslingden and ended his career working in contract curtains, based in Manchester.

He was a member of Haslingden Conservative Club then later the club in Edenfield.

Mr Barlow was also an active member of Haslingden Masonic Lodge and he was superb at DIY.

He leaves his second wife Doreen, sons Tim and Giles, sister Glenys, and grandchildren Thomas and Charlotte.

His funeral is Monday February 1 when there will be a service at the chapel of rest at 10.15am before interment at Haslingden Cemetery at 11am.
