A MILL worker for most of her working life, Mrs Hilda Holden, of Fir Street, Haslingden, died at Fairfield General Hospital, aged 76.

Mrs Holden lived all her life in Haslingden and married her husband George 57 years ago.

She enjoyed bingo nights at Haslingden British Legion and socialising with her neighbours.

Mrs Holden leaves her husband George, sons Thomas, James and Robert, daughters-in-law Elaine and Susan, brother Eric, sister Eunice, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Her funeral is today (Friday) when Philip Norris will conduct a service and cremation at Accrington at 11am.
