FISH and chip shop owner, in Crawshawbooth, Mr Leo Calverley, of Olive House, Bacup, died last Friday at home, aged 94.

He was formerly of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, and used to run the family business with his late wife Janie.

Mr Calverley was associated with St James the Less RC Church, Rawtenstall,

He leaves his sons Joe, Tom and John, 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

His funeral is next Saturday when Father David Lupton will celebrate Requiem Mass at St James the Less RC Church at 10am before cremation at Burnley at 11.20am. Family flowers only with donations to St Vincent de Paul Society.
