FORMER felt worker at Durie and Miller Mr Stanley Stevenson, of Holland Avenue, Rawtenstall, died suddenly on 23 December at home, aged 84.

Mr Stevenson, known as Stan, was an active member of Coastal Forces based in Bury and he enjoyed his social evenings with friends at the White Lion. He retired 19 years ago.

Husband of the late Ada, he leaves his daughter Pearl, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Angela and Gary, great-grandchildren Thomas, Joshua and Levi, sister Alice, nephews Ian, Gordon, Roger and Steven, niece Joan and friends.

His funeral is next Tuesday when Peter Goulding will lead prayers at the chapel of rest at 1pm before cremation at Burnley at 1.40pm. Flowers are welcome.
