FORMER employee of Whitefield Reiss Mr Geoffrey Shepherd, of Moorlands View, Edenfield, died last Tuesday, aged 76.

Mr Shepherd was a sheet metal worker from aged 15 until his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed walking, steam railways with his great-grandson and football.

Husband of Renee, he leaves his children Lynne and Steven, son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Wendy, grandchildren Kevin, Melanie, Laura, Abigail and Emily and great-grandson Kyle.

His funeral is next Wednesday when the Rev Anthony Barnshaw will conduct a service at Edenfield Parish Church at 10.45am before cremation at Radcliffe. Donations are welcome for British Heart Foundation.
