TOOLING manager at Thomas Ryder and Sons, Bolton, Mr Derrik Willetts, of Linley Grove, Holcombe Brook, died on 26 December, aged 81.

An electrical and mechanical engineer, Mr Willetts was employed at Metro Vicks, Trafford Park. He also ran a sweet stall at Rawtenstall indoor market with his wife Marjorie.

In his youth he was a racing cyclist and was a keen model engineer and walker.

He leaves his wife, sister Joan, brother-in-law Charles, nieces and cousins.

His funeral was on Tuesday with a service at East Lancashire Crematorium, Radcliffe. Donations were welcome for the RNLI Ramsbottom branch.
