DEVOTED family lady Mrs Agnes Kay, of Greens Lane, Helmshore, died at Pendle Community Hospital, aged 85.

Originally from Rossendale, she moved to Worcester in 1968, returning to the Valley after the death of her husband Douglas in 1974.

She worked as a care worker at Ravensgarth until her retirement and was a member of St Veronica’s RC Church, Helmshore.

She leaves her son Andrew and his wife Mary, son James and his partner Caroline, son Ian and his wife Rose, five grandchildren, sister Sheila and brother-in-law Derek, a niece and a nephew.

Her funeral was on Thursday when Father Richard O’Connor led a service and cremation at Accrington.
