LEIGH came back down to earth with a bump after their 50-point Good Friday romp against Widnes as Justin Morgan's Rovers showed why they are many people's tip for National League One honours this season.

Rovers took control as they dominated the first half, scoring tries by Jon Goddard, Leroy Rivett and Jon Steel in an inspired 11th-minute spell on the way to a 17-0 interval lead.

Though Chris Hill replied with a try for Leigh immediately after the resumption, Jules O'Neill converting, Scott Murrell ended any hopes of a comeback with a smart 56th minute try.

Ben Fisher and Phil Joseph posted further tries for the home side as Leigh wilted under the barrage.
