Rochdalians Res 3
Whalley Range Res 1
Rochdalians faced a tough test against a strong Whalley Range side in the Lancashire and Cheshire Division A.
The home side were missing a couple of key players and struggled in the first 15 minutes, falling a goal behind.
After 25 minutes Callum Whitehead made a great burst through the middle and finished a great move to level the scores.
For the rest of the half Rochdalians dominated and played some good football but couldn't get themselves in front.
Rochdalians took the lead after the interval when McCarroll sent an inviting ball across which Hedderman got on the end of only to hit the post. The rebound fell to Whitehead again who slotted home for his second of the game.
Range always looked dangerous but were limited to half chances thanks to the Dalians back four.
Rochdalians then extended their lead when Feeney broke through to make the score 3-1 after being frustrated throughout the game.
With 10 minutes remaining, Range had a penalty saved by Williams after Brophy held back one of the Range forwards.
A good display which keeps Rochdalians unbeaten record going this season.
Man of the match was shared between Eastwood and Whitehead.
