The Dale Trust have announced that almost 100 supporters have completed forms for the walk to Accrington to raise money for the Bowlee project.
If all can reach the target set by the Trust of £75, the Bowlee coffers will be swelled by nearly £5000.
The Trust also wish to place on record their thanks to supporter Rob Reed, who has stated that he will try and raise over £1,000 on his own by collecting as many sponsors as he can.
The cause was given a further boost when Dale fan Steve Hartley, who will be walking, managed to attract sponsorship from Spurs and England star David Bentley.
Walkers are reminded that a bus has been booked to ferry home supporters after the match.
Two weeks ago the Trust hosted a Lancashire night at the Ratcliffe Suite, raising hundreds of pounds towards the Bowlee Project.
