SINGING sensation Lisa Stansfield is backing our Save the Metrolink campaign.
Lisa, in Manchester to promote her new album 'The Moment' and new single 'Treat Me Like a Woman', was happy to sign the Observer 'Get Back on Track' petition in support of re-instating the trams scheme for her home town.
She said: "I think the Metrolink would be brilliant for Rochdale. It would bring the town bang up to date.
"It is a shame for the people of Rochdale to miss out on a modern transport system.
"It is no wonder that people are so upset."
Lisa, who regularly visits family in the town, says she will be keeping a close eye on the campaign.
