BURGLARS stole ten laptop computers worth £3,000 from Norden Primary School.
The crime took place between 6.20pm on Friday 15 January and 9am on Monday 18 January.
Police are now warning people not to purchase an Acer laptop from an unlicensed dealer or contact the station if they have any further information about the theft.
Inspector Lin Houldershaw said: "This really is a sickening burglary.
"To steal computers from a primary school is a very cowardly act and has left the children and staff understandably upset.
"We will do everything we can to find these thieves and I would ask the public to help us to root them out and bang them up.
"They might try to sell the laptops on so please, if you are offered this type of laptop and are suspicious, call us immediately."
Anyone with information is asked to call 0161 856 9961, Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or email rochdalenorthpartnership@gmp.police.uk.

I also would hope that appropriate identification markings to link the computers with the school were in situ.
In their haste to take away their booty the thieves may not have noticed this and perhaps are struggling to offload them.
Someone out there knows of the whereabouts of either the thief or thieves and/or the computers. I would urge anyone to shop these lowlifes and put them behind bars ASAP.

Many Rochdale Observer readers are hard working council tax payers so it should be a matter of public information how the private company Impact Partnership "facilitates" the supply of goods such as computers and IT services for Rochdale Council
There is an uplift or service/administration charge. I have seen delivery notes for computer equipment that could be bought at a retail computer store for a much cheaper price. And that is for just one unit not the bulk amounts that are bought for Rochdale Council offices.
Just how much "uplift" should be a matter of public record. It is OUR money and we deserve to know why budgets are being squeezed so much in ur town.
I personally think this is a scandal.
