CONCERNS that there is not enough for young people to do were raised at the Wardleworth and Hamer Open Forum.
A young audience member, who did not give his name, told the forum that he was not sure how to go about booking activities in Wardleworth Community Centre.
He also said that young people have few social clubs to attend in the area.
He said: “I want to know what people are doing with the community centre and how it is being used.”
Forum chairman Shah Wazir said: “We all acknowledge and support the issues you raise. There should be more youth provision in this area.
“Wardleworth Community Centre should be the focus of this community and utilised to the maximum.”
The forum was told that a meeting for young people is being planned, so that they can put across their points of view.
And the young audience member was encouraged to visit and possibly get involved on the board of people who run Wardleworth Community Centre.
