THERE are lights of love this Christmas, following a dedication service at Springhill Hospice.
The trees, which were blessed by Springhill Hospice chaplain Martin McGonigle, are filled with dedication cards in memory of loved ones.
Two services were held this year to accommodate the growing number of supporters, with 100 people attending in the afternoon and 150 in the evening.
Springhill Hospice fund-raising manager Ian Jenkins said: "The appeal has grown so popular we held two services this year to accommodate everyone.
"Both were lovely occasions and meant that people could remember those who are no longer with us, at a time of year that traditionally brings families together."
The evening was supported by Rochdale Music Service and carols were sung around the trees, followed by refreshments served in the hospice.
