WHEN Robbie met super striker Robinho, our little bear couldn’t resist asking him to spare a minute for our Springhill Hospice appeal.
And that is exactly what he did, leading to this great picture with our appeal mascot in the Eastland Stadium.
The £32M star, who joined Manchester City from Real Madrid in September, has signed the photo prints, which have now been enlarged and framed.
Now here’s a golden opportunity for fans.
Set in a black frame and measuring 18in x 14in, we’re offering the picture to Observer readers for the highest bid, which should be put in writing in a sealed envelope along with the bidder’s contact details.
These should be sent to: Robinho Picture Auction, Rochdale Observer, Drake Street, Rochdale OL16 1PH, to arrive no later than Monday 15 December.
Springhill Hospice fund-raising manager Ian Jenkins, who arranged the photo shoot, said: "This would make a great Christmas gift for a City fan."
It’s certainly unusual – so let us know what you are prepared to offer. All money raised from the auction will go to our Can Your Spare A Minute? appeal.
