CHOOSING between a new and used car is often a difficult decision.
A brand new motor, straight out of the showroom, not only has that new car smell and the knowledge that you're the first person to drive this vehicle, but it also comes with the peace of mind of three, four or even five years' worth of warranty. That means anything major that goes wrong will be sorted quickly and without expense by your dealer.
But depending on how highly you rank purchase price on your list of priorities, there are serious savings to consider when buying a used or 'nearly new' car.
In just a matter of months cars can lose thousands of pounds in value, which is not great if you're the original buyer, but is great news for used buyers. By opting for something just a few months, or a couple of years old, you could save a small fortune - enough for a great family holiday, some home improvements, or just to leave in the bank for a rainy day.
