A MAN had to be cut free from his car following a crash on Milnrow Road.

The accident happened as a Honda Civic turned into Bingley Road and collided with another car, a Vauxhall Corsa, at about 8.45pm yesterday (Tuesday).

Police were forced to shut part of the road as fire crews released the driver of the Honda Civic.

He was rushed to Rochdale Infirmary with a suspected fracture to his arm but the other driver escaped injury.
