There will always be ways and means. When it comes to money, those with the biggest snouts will gobble it all up, and any attempt by the ruling authorities to check Sheikh Mansour's spending will come to nothing. But the concept of FFP is flawed anyway as many people on here have already commented. The only way of introducing FAIRNESS in the game is by having a staged transformation in the squad system, with a gradual reduction in the number of overseas players permitted, and likewise a gradual reduction in the number of British nationals that can be signed from other clubs too. This would put a greater emphasis on clubs to produce their own players through their own academies, and this will enable clubs such as Reading and Wigan to have a REAL chance of competing on the pitch, something that is denied to them by the current system of being outbid for players through the market system. Surely Mr Gill would be happy with this?
