I don't think Sir Alex regards the 'FA Cup Competition' that highly myself.
We've fielded weakened teams in recent years.
The one that got me was the Everton semi-final... when that was the particular season which would have celebrated 100 years since we first won the competition in 1908.
Don't forget under Sir Alex we also dropped out of the FA Cup completely in 2000.... (to brown nose FIFA and Sepp Blatter) and take part in that mistimed money spinner in Brazil....... (which incidently I went to, but only for selfish reasons..)
